Why Archives Matter: Health, Wellbeing, Community, Young People is the first in a series of events run by the Scottish Council on Archives, that will highlight the ways in which archives and records management are the bedrock of society.  The programme of events will include presentations on a broad range of themes including health, tourism, built heritage and communities, and feature archive engagement and outreach projects from across the UK.

This first event will feature examples of archives being used in a variety of settings to help with issues such as dementia, mental health and loneliness, as well as tools to engage with young people and the wider community.

This important event should be of interest to everyone working and interacting with archives from healthcare professionals and educators, to community heritage groups and professionals from the archives and records management sector.

Please note that, although this is a free event, places are extremely limited.

If you would like to reserve a place then please contact John Pelan, Director of the SCA at This email address is being protected from spambots.
